Mullahs worries about President Bush

Regime Change in Iran gathers from the Iranian Press Service that the mullahs are reacting angrily because they are openly worried that President Bush will support and popular uprising in Iran.

Mr. Bush????????s backing for the Iranian people comes as a proposed project to organise referendum on the future of the Iranian regime. It has has received strong support from the Iranians, both inside and outside as well as from large segments among republicans and monarchists.

At the same time, green lights have been open to Iranian dissidents in the United States as well as in Europe.

According to well-informed French sources, some moderate neo-conservatives are sending discreetly signals to some of the ruling Iranian ayatollahs, including Mr. Ali Khameneh????????i or President Mohammad Khatami, offering them to leave the place for a safe heaven of their preference, or face “people????????s vengeance”.

According to this source, Mr. Reza Pahlavi, the 45 years-old son of the late Mohammad Reza Pahlavi who was toppled by the Islamic revolution of 1979 is being “worked out” as a possible leader for coalition of Iranian forces, considered as “much more credible than the Iraqi dissidents under Saddam Hussein” to replace the present Islamic system with a transitory government.

You all know my position on “sources”, however. Just like the with the Seymour Hersh piece, one has to remain skeptical until these supposed well-placed sources are named.
