STEFANIA’S CUBA PHOTOS

Stefania over in beautiful Sardinia has a tremendously good blog called Free Thoughts, highlighting freedom struggles and democratic revolutions around the world. What makes it so valuable is the singularity of her information. It’s news we don’t see here, not even in the rightwing press. She also has a lot of photos. Scrolling through it is fascinating.

She now has photos from deep inside Cuba, pictures of the little groups meeting and trying to forge civil society in the ramshackle Castro-ruins that pass for housing in Havana. They look like people in a war zone. But their brave, defiant faces tell us the story that although there has been a war, and although they are in Castro’s rubble, they are somehow the victorious ones. Even if it will take time. You have to scroll down a little but take a look at Stefania’s pictures here.

Stefania also has a link to an amazing Cuban civic society group that battles medical apartheid, and other ills of the Castro society called 30 November. Take a look at these democratic revolutionaries inside the walls of Cuba here.

30 November also has an excellent news wire, a valuable resource, here.
