LONDON BUREAUCRATS SHILL FOR VENEZUELAN DICTATOR

Right on the heels of the U.N.’s oil for food scandal, where much of the U.S. is appalled at the chutzpah of British MP George Galloway and his defensive tantrum in U.S. Congress today over his oil for food take, who should come along but some bureaucrat from Mayor Ken Livingston’s office – that’s ‘Red Ken’ to the London locals – caught red-handed by intrepid Aleksander Boyd setting up a Web site on behalf of Hugo Chavez of Venezuela.

Have you ever heard of anything sleazier?

He was so bold and shameless about it that he used the full name of his office on the Web site’s registration. He just doesn’t care. He is so sure he can get away with just about anything he’d like to that he signed not only his own name but that of his office as well. Talk about conflict of interest! And think of the implications – for one of them, Alek writes:

One has to guess what would members of the constituencies that the aforementioned MPs represent think about their activities in favour of a former army lieutenant who led a bloody coup d’etat against a democratically elected president and constantly promotes hatred and violence amongst Venezuelans.

He also notes that the London chavista is using public funds to promote a foreign government, with perfect impunity.

Reform in England just can’t come soon enough! Alek Boyd has the whole story here.
