When Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein was captured by U.S. troops and handed over to Iraqi democracy to face justice, just about every Western ambulance-chasing lawyer on the left leapt to his defense. They were a seasoned lot, having one way or another defended every tyrant they knew, some from the days of Daniel Ortega in Marxist Nicaragua, and some from even earlier, as in the days of Vietnam or Stalin’s USSR. They were in the same package of people who come to commie countries to cut cane sugar or teach ‘literacy’ in the name of propping up some dictator. But these Sandalistas make a complete nuisance of themselves in the name of ‘compassion.’ Just ask any local.
Ramsey Clarke, a LBJ-era (yup, surprised?) official is foremost in this Sandalista mishmash of do-gooders rushing to the defense of tyrants. They just wanted ‘to help.’ Communists are scarce these days, so anti-American thugs like Saddam will do. So long as they are anti-American, that’s all they need.
But Saddam has his standards, and apparently, he, too, couldn’t stand Ramsey Clarke. His daughter Raghad announced that Saddam had given him the boot. Sandalistas apparently have that effect on people – all you have to do is ask a Nicaraguan or Venezuelan for verification. Maybe that’s why these Sandalistas are continually wandering around the corners of the earth, looking for some new unsuspecting people to ‘save.’
Not even Saddam wants to be saved by Ramsey Clarke, though.
He’d prefer the gallows.
Gateway Pundit’s got the whole wild story here.
