Yesterday, the ex-Polish Solidarity Leader Lech Walesa addressed Cuban dissidents via video conference at the residence of the U.S. Interest Section chief Michael Parmly in Havana. Walesa said that Cuba will be free very soon: “The system will fall because nobody believes in communism.You are close to your goal”.

Meanwhile, Castroite fascist mobs continue to attack peaceful dissidents. Paramilitary mobs led by plainclothes agents of the state security and officials of the Interior Ministry attacked 3 peaceful freedom fighters members of the Cuban Democratic Alliance, the Foundation for Human Rights, the Democratic Oriental Alliance and independent agency ‘Youth Without Censorship’. The three were on their way to a meeting with other dissidents in Mayar????, province of Holguin,when they were attacked by a 200-member-strong paramilitary mob that thrown potatoes and beaten them while shouting defamations such as ‘you’re counter-revolutionaries who put bombs across the country’. The activists have been wounded but vow not to give up the fight against the regime; they stated the are willing to intensify their peaceful activities. And still another ‘act of repudiation’ took place yesterday in front of the house of the dissident Amaya family.

The crowd shouted obscenities and death threats. The most violent insults were shouted by an official in charge of the ‘cultural affairs’ of the neighborhood. Her name is Mayra S. One thing is for sure: despite the continued attacks, the freedom fighters vow to resist and keep fighting till the final victory!
