Via Real Clear Politics, Donald Rumsfeld has presented his thinking on the new kinds of challenges the U.S. faces as it fights the long hard war on terror and seeks to win the hearts and minds of the Arab world in spreading the idea of democracy. He lays out all the angles on how this is playing out in democratic revolution – through technology and the power of ideas here.
This happens to coincide with what we’ve been seeing on the State Department’s Web site, debunking all the flying-saucer theories put out by leftists and assorted ignoramuses and tinfoil-hat wearers who are floating around out there. Point by point, the State Department explains the facts against the baloney and in one instance, cites some of the original documentation provided for by the excellent Alek Boyd on his Web site, VCrisis. Alek’s site is actually linked as a primary source for unbiased and factual information on Venezuela by the U.S. Department of State.
This says a lot for the good work Alek is doing. And for his position on the cutting edge of the information war that is so present in the worldwide struggle for democratic revolution.
