DOWN is a good way to put it for today’s world festival of anti-Iraq democracy protests. Because as GatewayPundit has noticed, attendence is down at every single one of these. He’s got a liveblogging roundup of these “antiwar” (who the hell isn’t antiwar?) protests around the world, city by city, showing that this ‘movement’ doesn’t quite have the move it used to.
Not many people want to go to these stupid irrational things anymore, not after “peace mom” Cindy Sheehan kissed Iran ally Hugo Chavez on the lips.
And even more because given the growing victory of democracy and democratic revolution in the New Iraq, it doesn’t appeal to march for anti-democracy thugs. With diminished crowds, what are these people marching for other than jealousy at victory? Who are they supporting other than the head-sawers? Attendence is down because the cause is a failure.
The voices of Iraqi people, who support democracy, obviously, are being heard, and the antiamerican crowd is finding that they don’t have the foil they thought they did to use against the U.S., not with Iraqis supporting freedom in that beautiful, world-revolution-igniting way that they do.
What’s a hippie to do?
Read GatewayPundit‘s terrific roundup of these failed antiwar protests here.
And continue to watch these pages, I am going to check out the Hollywood celebrity chi-chi protest from where I am today, I just got a new battery for my digital camera and I will see if I can figure out how to download photos onto my computer and post them here. If I succeed, it will be a big step up technologywise for me and at least I will get something out of it. It won’t be a total waste of time.
