ISRAEL DEMANDS APOLOGY OVER ANTI-SEMITIC CARTOON IN ITALY

Red Anti-semitism at work in Italy.

From YNet News: Holocaust cartoon stirs row.

An anti-Semitic caricature published by an Italian Communist Party’s newspaper depicted Israel’s security fence with welcome sign paraphrasing Auschwitz’s ‘Work Liberates’ .

Yasha Reibman, spokesman of Milan’s Jewish community, told Yedioth Ahronoth that the cartoon publication was a very severe act and demanded that the newspaper editor be dismissed immediately in a bid to prove that the stances presented by the journal do not represent the stances of the party it represents.

The problem is that it represents the stances of the party. Indeed:

Italian Lower Chamber Speaker Fausto Bertinotti, leader of the Communist party, as well as other party members, did not apologize and failed to even respond to the cartoon publication

Do you remember the world Left’s reactions at the Danish cartoons?
In Italy, when the former Reform Minister Roberto Calderoli, in Berlusconi’s cabinet, showed his t-shirt with one of the cartoons depicting Mohammed, the Left quickly demanded his resignation. He had resignated.

I don’t bet Mr. Bertinotti will fire his comrade who allowed the anti-semitic cartoon to be published.

Double-standard and hipocrisy at work.
