These are the first photos showing, inside the stadium and despite the presence of the Islamic Republic’s vice-president, Iranian fans waving their original flag, the Lion & Sun, instead of the Khomeinist one that was imposed in 1979.

In Iran, women (who have to wear the mandatory veil) are banned from entering the stadiums.
