Blogging the democratic revolution
It’s Cuba and it’s loaded with babes. Just as the Cuban revolution is launched, we start seeing the babes all right, and the Cuban girls are dazzling. Val’s got a choice girl from the Cuban nostalgia festival, his window on the world to Cubanismo which blogged away in conjunction with the Cuban democracy struggle in Havana. Here she is, one more babe of politics and we’ll see more.
This is what happens when you let the state-owned media out into the world! They take pictures of all the lovely western women and post it all over their website. Hat tip: Danwei.
Michael Totten is back from Lebanon and posting, he says “by popular demand,” a very nice collection of protest babe pictures. I have read posts on some of the less, uh, optimistic websites that state that the whole protest babe thing is bogus because none of those women were Muslim. Not so, says Michael: If any of you think only the Christian women of Lebanon walk around without their own portable tents, forget that. It????????s isn????????t even close to true. My hotel was on the Muslim side of Beirut and I saw almost as many modern-looking women on that side…
The king of Nepal ended the state of emergency on April 30, two days earlier than the three month constitutional mandate. The order followed talks with India and Kofi Annan, who pressured him to restore democracy and civil liberties in the country. What followed was the emergency lifted, but the complete retainment of power and a fresh crackdown. Hundreds of political opponents and dozens of journalists remain in jail, and several student activists were shot the same day of the lift. People are fed up. They don’t want to be treated like dogs anymore. To celebrate May Day, the people…
Instapundit alerts us to a Babes of Cairo sighting, see it here.
We can expect to see Russia go under any day now! Here’s the rest of the pictures from the protest. Hat tip: Andy at Siberian Light for the email.
It doesn’t get worse than this.
Besides the basic human drive for freedom that is comparable in each revolution, each has had a flower and each set of protestors has given them to the security forces. Even in the recent Tulip Revolution! See what I mean: Kyrgyzstan Another one courtesy of The Emirates Economist: Lebanon Ukraine Those riot police kind of lose their ferocity after receiving bouquets from pretty revolution babes!
WILLisms is looking into the babe theory, that successful revolutions are more likely to occur when pretty women are involved. And I think he may have gone off into the deep end, given the utter depth of his post. I’m glad someone is crazy enough to do it! WOW: A.M. Mora y Leon has let me know about sweet collection of pictures of the Venezuelan female opposition. Remember to right-click, save-as.
I haven’t jumped on the bandwagon too much with regards to the insanely hot Lebanese protestors, but that’s because I was waiting on enough material to make a decent sized photo archive. Drop a line in the comments if I’m missing any good photos! Have fun! UPDATE: Hans Nyberg let me know about a sweet panorama that he has of the protest. You click look all around, and even zoom in. I’m using that feature to babe spot. Check it out! And D.B. Light has a collection of all his posts on protest babes. And let’s not forget about the…
Yes, the Yulia Look is it. And not just the hair.
For some reason, JerseyGOP has Yulia Tymoshenko has their 80th Babe of the Week. This is not surprising to most of us why she would be up there, but I am posting this because there are pictures.
Ukrayinska Pravda comments: The biography of Yulia Tymoshenko can be learnt not only by the official chronicle, but by her photos as well. At the same time, every stage of her life can be distinguished exactly. The reason for this is that every stage of Yulia Volodymyrivna????????s life is indicated with the change of the style. Acute observation.
Aussiegirl says it’s because the new government is going to go forward on persuing the Gongadze case, as well as taking away Kuchma’s pension. I, on the other hand, believe she is wondering when us boys on the internet will leave her alone.
If there ever was a dedicated fanboy of older women, it is me. Well, maybe not, but Orange Revolution posted a good picture I seemed to have missed from Yulia’s photo gallery. Karate chop!
In case you weren’t invited to the party, here is a recap: BAGHDAD ???????? U.S. military police threw a mudwrestling party at a prison camp in Iraq and a woman who took part has been found guilty of indecent exposure and demoted, the U.S. military said on Monday. At least three female guards stripped to their underwear and wrestled each other in a paddling pool full of mud in the grounds of Camp Bucca, the biggest U.S. camp for detainees in Iraq, Lt. Col. Barry Johnson said. Several guards who watched the wrestling have been reprimanded for failing to intervene.…
This whole sleep thing made me miss the initial announcement. But yesterday, she was overwhelmingly elected to the spot, which definitely bodes well for her: (AP/Sergei Grits) KYIV, Ukraine (AP) – Parliament unanimously approved fiery opposition leader Yulia Tymoshenko as prime minister Friday, along with her government’s new program to raise living standards, tackle corruption and set Ukraine on a westward course. Lawmakers confirmed Tymoshenko in a 373-0 vote, far more than the 226 votes needed in the 450-seat Vekhovna Rada. They returned a few hours later to approve the broad outlines of her government program with a 357-0 vote.…
Abdymok has some great photos from Yushchenko’s inauguration. And comparatively, there are quite a few of Yulia Tymoshenko. Hey ladies! (Who is that on the left? Anyone?) Beautiful. That’s just a sampling. Check it out.
For anyone interested in Yulia Tymoshenko, top choice for Prime Minister in Ukraine, here is her official website photo gallery. Now there’s a government official that doubles as eye candy.
